Dark Cornish

A variant of Cornish (Gallus gallus domesticus)

Dark Cornish

The original and most familiar variety: lustrous greenish-black with rich mahogany double-laced hens and a heavily muscled, wide-set body.

Keeper tips for this variant

Their wide stance and short feathers leave them cold-sensitive — provide a draft-free, well-bedded coop, as Cornish tolerate cold far worse than fluffier breeds.
