The sex-linked lutino removes melanin for a clear buttercup-yellow bird with red eyes; in hens it is a clean yellow, in cocks a yellow with faint blue ghosting. Often sold simply as 'yellow.'
Keeper tips for this variant
Red-eyed birds dislike harsh light — keep the cage out of direct sun; lutino is sex-linked, so a lutino cock paired to a normal hen lets you sex chicks by color in the nest.
