A smaller American show pouter with the same long-legged, upright stance and large globe but in a compact frame. Bred down from the English type.

Like the English, fertility and chick-rearing are unreliable on extreme birds — keep foster pairs on hand and don't over-select for globe size at the cost of vigor.
