Volunteer Reviewer Program
Licensed US veterinarians and certified animal behaviorists: help us publish pet care content that owners can trust.
What you do
- Review draft KinStation content in your specialty area — encyclopedia entries, first-aid articles, behavioral knowledge.
- Approve, request changes, or decline. You only claim assignments you want; nothing is forced on you.
- Approved content publishes with your byline and credentials (e.g., Dr Jane Smith, DVM (NY License #12345)). You can opt out of a public reviewer profile while still being credited.
What you don't do
- No real-time medical advice.KinStation never forwards user questions to you. The behavioral assistant escalates to "see your vet" when warranted.
- No retainer, no billing. This is volunteer work. Your incentive is recognition, public profile, and contribution to quality pet care information.
- No long-term obligation. You can withdraw signoff on any article at any time and pause reviewing whenever you like.
Who can apply
- Veterinarians: active US DVM license, license number verifiable on a state board portal.
- Behaviorists:CPDT-KA, IAABC, KPA-CTP, or ACAAB credential — verifiable on the issuing organization's registry.
How verification works
- You submit the application below with your credentials.
- A KinStation admin manually verifies your license against the relevant state board (or certifying body) before your account moves to verified. Expect 3–5 business days.
- Once verified, you sign the Volunteer Reviewer Agreement and start claiming assignments matched to your specialties.
