Blue tegu

Representative Argentine black and white teguphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.

Often sold as a distinct 'blue tegu' (Salvator merianae or closely-allied stock), developing a cool blue-grey wash with black markings as it matures. The blue intensifies with each shed in adulthood.

Keeper tips for this variant

The blue coloration is age-dependent — hatchlings look ordinary, so don't expect adult color for 1-2 years; consistent good husbandry and UVB help it develop fully.
