📜 Backstory
Sold by World Wide Corals (as 'Jawbreaker Eclectus'), Queen City Corals and Corals Anonymous, and discussed on Reef2Reef where keepers compare 'Eclectus vs Jawbreaker.' CORAL Magazine documents the Eclectus as a Discosoma sp. morph that was collected in Indonesia and exported by Bali Aquarium, becoming popular around 2015; it is regarded as a more saturated, fully-patterned offshoot of the jawbreaker line.
Keeper tips for this variant
Give low-to-moderate light and gentle flow low in the tank; place it where it can settle, since Discosoma struggle to reattach if dislodged. Hardy and forgiving once anchored.
