Super Green Kenya Tree (Reefkoi)
A variant of Kenya tree coral (Capnella sp.)
Representative Kenya tree coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A striking, intensely fluorescent neon-green Kenya tree noted for growing into a larger, fuller colony instead of constantly self-fragging like the weedy brown strain. Branching softie shape with vivid green coloration that pops under blue/actinic light.
📜 Backstory
Sourced from Reefkoi (Colorado Springs) and featured by Reef Builders in 2019 as the 'Super Green Kenya Tree.' Note: that Reef Builders piece states the true 'Kenya trees' are actually *Litophyton* rather than *Capnella*, so the genus on this specific coral is debated, but it is bought and sold in the hobby under the Kenya tree name. Praised for being less weedy than the common self-fragging strain.
Keeper tips for this variant
Mid-level placement with moderate light and flow; because it does not self-propagate as aggressively as the common strain, let it mature in one spot rather than expecting it to spread quickly.
