A fully melanistic black line selectively bred from Poecilia sphenops, prized for its solid velvet-black body. The most recognizable molly in the hobby.

Add a little aquarium salt or keep moderately hard, alkaline water; soft acidic tanks lead to fin and skin issues in this line.
