'Rainbow Scoly' is a top grade applied to the most colorful wild Homophyllia australis, with active threads on reef2reef ('Rainbow scolymia') and a Reef Builders feature, 'New Rainbow Scolymia Defies the Limits of Color' (2020). It is wild-collected Australian stock rather than a single named line; the term marks any exceptionally rainbow-colored individual, and high-end pieces have traded well into the hundreds of dollars.
Keeper tips for this variant
Centerpiece sandbed placement under moderate, stable light and gentle flow. The coral is hardy, but acclimate it slowly to new lighting since the wide color range can shift with light intensity and spectrum.
