Account succession & legal access

If a KinStation account holder has passed away, is incapacitated, or you are acting under a court order, you can request memorialization, a data export to the estate, deletion, or legal production here.

How we keep this safe

  • Every request is manually reviewed and requires certified proof of authority (death certificate, letters testamentary, guardianship order, or court order) plus your government ID.
  • There is a 14-day cooling-off period, and high-authority requests get legal-counsel review and a two-person sign-off before any action.
  • If the account exists, we notify its own contact email first, so an impersonation attempt can be stopped.
  • We will never reveal a password or hand over login access. Outcomes are limited to memorialize, data export to the estate, deletion, or legal hold/production.
  • Knowingly false requests may be reported to law enforcement.
Proof you'll need to provide (a reviewer will request certified copies):
  • Certified death certificate
  • Government ID of the requester
  • Proof of authority (letters testamentary / executor appointment) or proof of relationship

See our Terms and Privacy Policy for how we handle account data and legal requests.
