The base form: tan to chocolate-brown bands over a lighter body, often with a thin white dorsal stripe. A hardy West African terrestrial gecko closely related to the leopard gecko.

Keeper tips for this variant

Unlike leopard geckos these need higher humidity (50-70%) — provide a damp moss hide to prevent stuck sheds and toe constriction.
