Yellow-bodied (dilute)

A variant of Gouldian finch (Chloebia gouldiae)

Yellow-bodied (dilute)

Representative Gouldian finchphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.

A sex-linked dilution that strips most melanin so the back goes from green to bright yellow, giving the vivid 'yellow' Gouldian. A flashy but more delicate designer line.

Keeper tips for this variant

Dilute/yellow birds are sun-sensitive and often a touch weaker — provide gentle lighting and excellent nutrition, and avoid stacking it onto already-fragile blue lines.
