Purple Long Tentacle Anemone
A variant of Long tentacle anemone (Macrodactyla doreensis)

Representative Long tentacle anemonephoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
The most sought-after color form: long, tapering tentacles flushed purple to lavender rising from the classic red-to-orange column base, often with pale striping across the oral disc.
📜 Backstory
Not a branded designer line but a recognized wild-collected color form sold as the 'Purple LTA' by major suppliers including LiveAquaria, Aqua Imports, BlueZoo Aquatics and That Fish Place. Lineage is wild-import only (Indo-Pacific collection) — these are not aquacultured or named after a person. Vendors consistently flag the purple tentacle form as a 'fairly uncommon find in the industry,' which is why it commands a premium over brown specimens.
Keeper tips for this variant
Give it 4+ inches of fine sand or mud to bury its column foot in; it anchors in the substrate, not the rock, so do not place it on bare bottom or it will wander. Provide moderate-to-high light and low-to-moderate flow.
