A large paly best known for shocking orange rings around the mouth and the edge of the oral disc, giving a high-contrast, fiery look; exact coloration can shift between tanks.
📜 Backstory
Armageddon is a classic named paly well known in the zoa/paly community for its orange ringing. It is now widely aquacultured and is one of several similar morphs (Armor of God and others) that get mislabeled, and specimens can morph in appearance when moved between tanks. Its founding-colony provenance is debated, and value comes from demand and recognizability rather than scarcity.
Keeper tips for this variant
Moderate flow and light on rockwork; like all palys, handle with gloves — palythoa can carry potent palytoxin.
