Green Polyp / Neon Toadstool
A variant of Toadstool leather coral (Sarcophyton sp.)

Representative Toadstool leather coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A tan-to-brown capped toadstool whose polyps glow bright fluorescent green under blue light, creating a striking 'starry' green-polyp effect across the mushroom cap.
📜 Backstory
The green-polyp toadstool is one of the most common Sarcophyton in the hobby, selected for fluorescent polyps that pop under actinic light while the cap stays a neutral tan; aquacultured neon-polyp lines (such as ORA's) are widely available. It is collected across the Indo-Pacific and propagated heavily by hobbyists since leathers frag easily from the cap. Its abundance keeps it cheap and it's a frequent first soft coral.
Keeper tips for this variant
Use blue-spectrum lighting to maximize the green polyp fluorescence, keep light low-to-moderate to encourage full polyp extension, and provide moderate flow with room to expand.
