A toadstool with a creamy-yellow to golden cap and pale extended polyps, the classic 'golden' Fiji leather look that brightens a tank with warm tones.
📜 Backstory
The yellow/golden Fiji toadstool is a long-standing wild-collected color form historically imported from Fiji and surrounding Indo-Pacific reefs, and is a Sarcophyton like other toadstools. It predates most designer-leather naming and is recognized simply by its warm yellow cap. Common in the trade and easy to propagate, it's an inexpensive, beginner-friendly leather whose appeal is the soft golden coloration.
Keeper tips for this variant
Moderate light brings out the yellow tone; give moderate flow and space on the rockwork, and allow normal periodic shedding without disturbing it.
