Frillback / Jacobin / other fancy breeds
A variant of Domestic pigeon (Columba livia domestica)

Representative Domestic pigeonphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
Hundreds of exhibition breeds bred for extreme feathering, frills, hoods, crests, and structure for the show fancy (Frillback's curled feathers, Jacobin's feather hood, Pouters, Owls).
Keeper tips for this variant
Feather-extreme breeds need help: hooded Jacobins have obscured vision (place food/water where they can find it and clip the hood for breeding), and the muffed/curled feet of many fancies must be kept on clean dry litter to avoid foot damage — these are aviary-only birds, not free-flyers.
