Roller / Tumbler

A variant of Domestic pigeon (Columba livia domestica)

Roller / Tumbler

Representative Domestic pigeonphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.

Performance breeds bred to tumble or roll backwards in mid-air; flown for sport and exhibition (Birmingham Rollers, parlor rollers, tumblers).

Keeper tips for this variant

Fly rollers hungry/keen but never over-rolled — deep 'rolldowns' can hit the ground; avoid mating two extreme rollers as offspring may roll uncontrollably (a roll-to-death trait), and watch raptors, which pick off birds mid-roll.

This page covers the Roller / Tumbler variant. For full husbandry, water params, diet and health —General care: Domestic pigeon
