Representative Lobophyllia (Lobed Brain / Meat Coral)photo — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A wild-collected lobed brain showing multiple banded colors across one head, typically a neon green or teal body with an orange-to-red rim and a contrasting center and mouths. The most widely sold collector descriptor for multicolor Lobophyllia.
📜 Backstory
"Rainbow Lobophyllia" is the standard multicolor trade category used across many vendors (Top Shelf Aquatics, Candy Corals, Aqua SD, Pacific East Aquaculture, and Biota among them) rather than a single lineage. These are wild Australian/Indonesian colonies, or maricultured pieces, hand-selected for the most color bands; each WYSIWYG piece is unique, so the name describes the look rather than a propagated mother colony.
Keeper tips for this variant
Place on the sandbed or low rockwork under low-to-moderate light (roughly 80-120 PAR) with gentle, indirect flow so the fleshy tissue inflates without tearing. Hardy; target-feed meaty foods weekly to boost color and growth.
