A variant of Magnificent anemone (Heteractis magnifica)

Representative Magnificent anemonephoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
The classic Heteractis magnifica with a smooth, brightly colored column (typically purple, blue, or magenta) and a wide crown of evenly tapered tentacles with rounded tips. The vivid solid-colored base is the species' hallmark.
📜 Backstory
The purple-base magnifica is the standard wild-collected form imported from the Indo-Pacific and Red Sea regions. It is not aquacultured; it is collected as colorful wild colonies, and these animals are famously demanding, often deteriorating in tanks that lack intense light and flow. Its reputation as a difficult, light-hungry species (and host to many clownfish) keeps it a sought-after but challenging trophy animal.
Keeper tips for this variant
This is a high-light, high-flow surface anemone, mount it high on the rockwork under strong PAR (200+) with strong indirect flow rather than burying it in sand; it will roam until it finds a bright, well-lit perch.
