Purple Tip Ritteri

A variant of Magnificent anemone (Heteractis magnifica)

Purple Tip Ritteri

Representative Magnificent anemonephoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.

The classic and most commonly imported magnifica form: a vivid magenta-to-purple column with long, flowing tan-to-mauve tentacles ending in bright purple-pink finger tips.

📜 Backstory

Sold under the 'Purple Tip Ritteri' or 'Purple Base' label by many vendors, including Maldives-import show pieces at Violet Aquarium and listings at NYAquatic and Blue Zoo Aquatics. This is a natural wild color form, not an aquacultured designer line. The purple base is the trade-standard 'desirable' magnifica coloration that imports are graded against.

Keeper tips for this variant

Give it high-intensity light high on the rockwork (or on an open glass wall it can grip) with strong, intermittent flow; magnifica wants to climb toward the brightest spot rather than sit in the sand.
