Aussie Ultra Red Fungia
A variant of Plate coral (Fungia sp.)

Representative Plate coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A deep blood-red to fire-orange wild-collected plate coral, the solid scarlet disc fluorescing intensely under blue light. Among the most saturated single-color Fungia available in the trade.
📜 Backstory
These intense reds are wild-collected off Australia (largely Queensland exporters) and command a premium over standard brown/green plates purely on color saturation. There is no single named mother colony — 'Aussie Ultra Red' is a grade/trade descriptor importers apply to the most vivid individual collected specimens. Origin is selection-based, not a propagated line. Price is driven by collection quotas on Australian corals plus the rarity of a truly solid red disc.
Keeper tips for this variant
Place directly on the sandbed with low-to-moderate flow; plates are free-living and will inflate and 'walk' if buried or blasted by jets.
