Ultra Rainbow Rock Flower

A variant of Rock flower anemone (Phymanthus crucifer)

Ultra Rainbow Rock Flower

Representative Rock flower anemonephoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.

A true rock flower anemone (*Phymanthus crucifer*) showing multiple contrasting colors at once — typically a glowing center disc against a ring of differently colored, beaded radial tentacles in reds, greens, blues and purples. "Rainbow" is the multi-color top grade of this species.

📜 Backstory

Sold as "Rainbow," "Ultra" or "Ultra Grade" rock flower by vendors including The Coral Farm, Tidal Gardens, Freakin Corals and others. These are wild-collected (mostly from Florida and the Caribbean), then hand-graded by color rather than being a named designer clone, so each piece is essentially a unique, one-of-a-kind specimen. Lineage is wild collection, not a propagated line.

Keeper tips for this variant

Place on the sandbed or in a sand pocket between rocks under low-to-moderate light and gentle, indirect flow; rock flowers anchor their foot in a crevice and rarely wander once settled. Spot-feed small meaty pieces (mysis, chopped seafood) once or twice a week.
