Rainbow Acan (Rainbow Lord)
A variant of Acan coral (Micromussa lordhowensis)

Representative Acan coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A Micromussa lordhowensis colony where each fleshy polyp displays concentric rings of red, orange, green, and blue, creating a tie-dye 'rainbow' across the colony.
📜 Backstory
'Rainbow Lord' is a descriptive trade designation rather than a single mother colony — top examples are hand-selected wild imports, predominantly from Australia (and historically Indonesia), prized for the most distinct multi-color banding. Australian-collected Micro lords often command the highest prices because Australia's tightly regulated, hand-collected fishery yields many of the most vivid pieces. The most colorful confirmed wild rainbows can fetch hundreds of dollars per polyp.
Keeper tips for this variant
Place low in the tank on the sandbed or a low rock under moderate, indirect light (PAR 60-100) with gentle, indirect flow so the fleshy polyps fully inflate. Target-feed small meaty foods in the evening when feeder tentacles emerge.
