Cali Tort (California Blue Tortuosa)
A variant of Acropora coral (Acropora sp.)

Representative Acropora coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
An Acropora tortuosa with bright blue to blue-green corallites and branches, forming a tight, branchy colony.
📜 Backstory
A long-circulating US frag lineage, generally reported to originate from maricultured Solomon Islands tortuosa imported in the late 1990s and grown out and distributed along the US west coast — the 'Cali' name reflects that distribution history rather than a wild California origin. Alongside the Oregon Tort it is one of the classic 'named tort' workhorses, and decades of propagation make it reliable and reasonably priced.
Keeper tips for this variant
Hardy and fast under strong SPS lighting and flow; like the Oregon Tort it's a great early acro that holds color across conditions.
