Christmas Favia
A variant of Favia coral (Favia sp.)

Representative Favia coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
Green tissue with contrasting red mouths in each polyp, the red-and-green combo giving it the festive Christmas name. A classic, approachable brain coral look.
📜 Backstory
A widely available wild-collected morph (often Dipsastraea sp. taxonomically) sold by Worldwide Corals, Top Shelf Aquatics, Tidal Gardens, Quality Marine and many others, and discussed in Reef2Reef threads. The Christmas name is generic trade nomenclature applied to any red-mouth/green-body Indo-Pacific import, not a single proprietary line (origin debated).
Keeper tips for this variant
Gentle current and lower lighting suit it well; a low rock ledge or sandbed placement with a weekly feeding of brine, mysis or micro-plankton keeps it healthy. Leave space since its tentacles can sting neighbors.
