JF Day-Glo Favites (Pentagona)
A variant of Favia coral (Favia sp.)

Representative Favia coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A Favites pentagona ('war coral' type) with intensely fluorescent day-glo green corallite centers, a ring of yellow-gold rays, and bright pink-red corallite edges glowing hard under actinics. One of the more famous designer Favites in the hobby.
📜 Backstory
A Jason Fox Signature Corals (JF) piece. ReefFarmers documented acquiring seed directly from Jason Fox in a coral trade brokered around the 2013 Virginia Beach coral show, and it has since been propagated and resold by ReefFarmers, Cultivated Reef and FreakinCorals. The exact original wild collection details are not reliably documented (origin debated).
Keeper tips for this variant
Encrusting Favites do well on a low rock face with moderate light and moderate flow; it will spread over the rock rather than dome up. Beginner-friendly to keep once established.
