Christmas Favia is one of the most widely circulated named brains, aquacultured and sold by World Wide Corals, Top Shelf Aquatics, Tidal Gardens, Quality Marine and many others. It is a hardy, beginner-friendly brain valued for its green base with red mouths; because the green-with-red-eye color form is so common and so widely propagated, no single originator is credited and the name is generic to the color form.

An easy, forgiving brain for lower-light, lower-flow spots in the lower two-thirds of the tank; feed mysis or other meaty foods a couple of times a week to boost color and growth.
