📜 Backstory
A Jason Fox Signature Corals (JF) line carried by Top Shelf Aquatics, Tidal Gardens and Pacific East Aquaculture, among others. Named for its purple coloration (a nod to the old novelty song); an aquacultured designer brain. Note a separate 'Purple People Eater' Cyphastrea also exists in the trade, so the name is shared across coral types.
Keeper tips for this variant
Purples and the blue rim can fade under too much light; keep moderate blue-rich light (PAR ~120-180), gentle flow and mid-lower placement, and keep nutrients non-zero (small amounts of nitrate and phosphate) to hold the color.
