📜 Backstory
The standard wild green *Euphyllia ancora* (now *Fimbriaphyllia ancora*), the most common and affordable hammer in the trade and the entry point for most reefers into Euphyllia. No designer lineage — it is the baseline species, valued for being inexpensive, hardy, and fast-multiplying. Branching forms are favored because they yield more frags than wall forms.

Branching hammers frag more easily and tolerate slightly stronger flow than wall types; mount mid-tank where dropped daughter heads can re-attach to nearby rock.
