Gold Hammer
A variant of Hammer coral (Euphyllia ancora)

Representative Hammer coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A classic Euphyllia ancora morph with warm golden-yellow tentacles, often with slightly brighter T-shaped tips that glow under blue light.
📜 Backstory
The Gold Hammer is one of the most widely available named hammers, grown and sold in-house by vendors like Treasure Corals and carried by Tidal Gardens, Manta Rea Aquatics, and LiveAquaria. It is a long-standing wild-collected color form rather than a single named lineage, so its origin traces broadly to Indo-Pacific and Australian imports rather than one originator.
Keeper tips for this variant
Place low-to-middle in the tank under moderate light (roughly 100-150 PAR) with gentle, indirect flow so the fleshy polyps can fully extend without tearing on neighbors. Keep 6+ inches from other corals to avoid sweeper-tentacle stings.
