Offered as 'Royal Blue' (or simply 'Blue') by vendors such as Tidal Gardens and Corals Anonymous, this is a color-based trade name for wild-collected *S. tapetum*, not a named line. Tidal Gardens notes it is one of the harder solid colors to source. Lineage is anonymous wild import, and coloration can shift under different lighting.
Keeper tips for this variant
Use blue-spectrum light to maximize the color and keep flow low-to-moderate; let it anchor on the sandbed near rock. As with all maxi-minis, isolate it from corals due to its sting and wear gloves.
