Ultra Rainbow Trachyphyllia
A variant of Open brain coral (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi)

Representative Open brain coralphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
The top color grade of the rainbow type — a high-contrast colony with a dark purple or maroon base broken up by saturated streaks of pink, blue, neon green, and highlighter yellow. In the trade, "ultra" generally implies four or more distinct colors.
📜 Backstory
"Ultra Rainbow" (and "Aussie Ultra Rainbow") is the standard vendor grade above plain Rainbow, used by Top Shelf Aquatics, Reef Geeks, and many importers for the most colorful pieces; specimens commonly sell for several hundred dollars. It is a grading term for exceptional wild colonies rather than a propagated designer line, so origin is the wild colony itself — lineage of any individual is not tracked.
Keeper tips for this variant
Sandbed placement under moderate PAR (around 50-100) brings out the contrasting streaks; too much light bleaches the pastel tones, too little mutes them. Keep flow gentle and indirect to protect the inflated mantle.
