An **intense, bright kelly-green branching** *Psammocora* (P. contigua), among the brightest green SPS available; it heavily encrusts first, then forms thick irregular branches with a velvety extended-polyp look.
📜 Backstory
A long-running ORA (Oceans, Reefs & Aquariums) aquacultured release, sold as 'ORA Kelly Green Branching Psammocora' through ORA dealers including World Wide Corals. Per ORA's own blog, the coral was given to ORA years earlier by one of their first employees, Kelly Hunter — for whom it is named — and Hunter reported it was originally imported from Palau in 1994. As a long-established captive-bred ORA strain it is widely and affordably available.
Keeper tips for this variant
Colors up best under blue-spectrum-heavy light with moderate to strong flow to keep its textured surface clean; give branches room to thicken. One of the hardiest, most beginner-friendly SPS in the hobby.
