Representative Pavona (cactus / potato chip coral)photo — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
A glowing golden / yellow-gold colored **Pavona maldivensis**, a warmer departure from the usual green strains. Described in the hobby as a distinctively brighter shade that glows under aquarium lighting.
📜 Backstory
A named color line sold by World Wide Corals (worldwidecorals.com, around $39). Reef Builders has noted the WWC Golden Pavona as essentially the only distinctive named *maldivensis* color variant in the hobby besides plain orange and green. The gold coloration is the selling point; lineage is a WWC stock selection rather than a documented single wild collection.
Keeper tips for this variant
Medium light keeps the golden color saturated and avoids bleaching; pair with moderate flow and a stable rock placement for this slower, chunky *maldivensis*-type grower.
