📜 Backstory
Sold as 'Metallic (Green) Center Star Polyps' by Top Shelf Aquatics (topshelfaquatics.com), Corals Anonymous and AquaCorals, with a 'Nano Metallic Green Star Polyp' also offered through Petco's coral program. It is treated as a higher-color form of Pachyclavularia/Briareum-type star polyps rather than a single-collector designer line, and reef forums note 'metallic green star polyps' is partly a marketing descriptor; original lineage is not formally documented.
Keeper tips for this variant
Keep blue/UV-heavy lighting and lower nutrients with strong randomized flow to hold the metallic fluorescence; too much harsh white light and high phosphate will brown it out. Still spreads readily, so keep it on its own rock.
