Neon Green Star Polyps
A variant of Green star polyps (Pachyclavularia violacea)

Representative Green star polypsphoto — a dedicated image of this exact morph isn't available yet.
The classic GSP color form: a fast-spreading mat of fluorescent, almost lime-neon green eight-tentacled polyps over a reddish-purple stolon (the 'purple mat'). This is the standard against which other GSP color forms are compared.
📜 Backstory
This is the baseline hobby strain sold as 'Neon Green Star Polyps' by World Wide Corals (worldwidecorals.com), Unique Corals, Tidal Gardens and many others, usually labeled Pachyclavularia violacea. It is a naturally occurring green color form rather than a man-made cross, and because it propagates so easily virtually all pieces in the trade today are aquacultured frags rather than wild imports. Lineage is generic to the hobby rather than tied to a single collector.
Keeper tips for this variant
Glue it to its own isolated rock or island away from the main rockwork, since it encrusts aggressively over neighboring corals. It shows the best neon color under moderate light (PAR ~100-150, and it pops further under blue/actinic) with moderate-to-strong flow to keep detritus off the mat.
