Neon / Metallic Green Star Polyps
A variant of Green star polyps (Pachyclavularia violacea)
A brighter, more fluorescent strain of GSP whose polyps glow an intense lime-neon green under blue/actinic light. Visually punchier than the dull standard form.
📜 Backstory
A color-selected line of ordinary GSP rather than a true named designer coral — vendors simply label the most fluorescent batches 'neon' or 'metallic' green. No documented mother colony or originator; it is the same weedy *Pachyclavularia/Briareum* selected for brightness. Price stays low because it propagates effortlessly.
Keeper tips for this variant
Run heavier blue spectrum to pop the green fluorescence; still isolate on a frag-island because it encrusts and overruns neighbors just like the standard form.
